FDIC Federal Register Citations Heart of America Family Services From: Nora Brown [mailto:nbrown@hafs.org] "I oppose the FDIC's
proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined
as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income
communities." Presently, banks are major contributors to the local
economy and are seen as an avenue for new small business ventures. Banks
are a symbol of respect and durability, the community needs them to be
always present involved in the communities they serve. This is social
justice. Thank you.
