The Consumer Research Symposium, hosted by the FDIC’s Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, facilitates a discussion of the newest research in consumer finance among academics, financial regulators, and the private sector.

The 12th Symposium will be held on March 15, 2024 in the Sheila C. Bair Auditorium at the FDIC L. William Seidman Center, located at 3501 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia. This year’s event will feature a Distinguished Guest Lecture by Professor Annamaria Lusardi of Stanford University: “The Importance of Financial Literacy.” Professor Lusardi is a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and Director of the Financial Freedom Initiative at Stanford University. Networking breaks will be offered after all panels to facilitate interactions with presenters and attendees.

Registration for this year’s Symposium has closed. Please direct any questions or requests for additional information to the organizers (Garret Christensen, Ryan Goodstein, and Connor Redpath) at ConResearchSymp@FDIC.gov.
