Mr. Galloway serves as the Community Affairs Specialist for North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Virginia and West Virginia for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). In his current role he assist financial institution in developing strategies that are responsive to the credit, service and investment needs of their communities by: fostering initiatives that create positive banking relationships between consumers and financial institutions and move unbanked and underserved consumers into mainstream banking relationship; promoting community development partnerships and access to affordable credit and capital in historically underserved markets.
Mr. Galloway has several years of executive leadership experience in the banking, commercial and residential lending and consumer financial services with expertise in working across multiple business channels, public institutions and government agencies. He is the former Director of the National Institute of Minority Economic Development where he had leadership and oversight responsibility for the Center of Research & Policy, The Minority Executive Leadership Institute, Minority Business Development Agency and US DOT Small Business Transportation Center Mid-Atlantic Region. Also in his role, Mr. Galloway advised corporate executives, academic leaders, senior White House staffers, congressional members and government agencies issues impacting minorities, women and veteran ability to access affordable capital and credit. In addition, Mr. Galloway served as the Segment Market Leader for Community Banks for Genworth Financial /GE a leading insurance holding company, severing the lifestyle protection, retirement income, investment and mortgage insurance. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University.
