Ryan Goodstein is a a Senior Economist at the FDIC’s Center for Financial Research. His research interests include consumer finance, banking, and mortgage markets. Since joining the FDIC in 2008, he has provided technical and analytic support to the FDIC’s economic inclusion survey efforts, including the biennial Surveys of Household Use of Banking and Financial Services and the Survey of Banks' Efforts to Serve the Unbanked and Underbanked. Ryan earned his PhD in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
