Michael Farrell

Counsel, Consumer Enforcement Unit Legal Division, FDIC

Michael Farrell is counsel in the FDIC Legal Division’s Consumer Enforcement Unit, where he handles matters relating to compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations. Prior to joining the Consumer Enforcement Unit, Michael served as Counsel to the Administrative Law Judges in the Office of Financial Institution Adjudication, which hears all administrative enforcement actions brought by the FDIC, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve and the National Credit Union Administration. Before joining the FDIC, Michael served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan and spent several years in private practice. Michael received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1997 and a B.A. from Grand Valley State University in 1994.
