Gary Clayton

Senior Examination Specialist Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, FDIC

Gary L. Clayton is a Senior Examination Specialist for the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP), Examination Branch, in the Washington Office (WO) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). In this role, Gary serves as an advisor to WO and Regional Office (RO) DCP management and staff primarily on fair lending matters. Prior to this role, Gary was the Fair Lending Examination Specialist in the Atlanta RO of the FDIC. Gary serves as lead instructor for the FDIC's Corporate University's Advanced Fair Lending School. Prior to joining the FDIC, Gary worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as a Senior Examiner in Consumer Compliance for Large Bank Organizations where he specialized in CRA and fair lending compliance. Gary obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.
