Senior Policy Analyst Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation

Elizabeth Khalil is a Senior Policy Analyst in the Supervisory Policy Branch of the FDIC's Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection. She serves as a subject matter expert in numerous areas, including mobile financial services, prepaid products, payment systems, and privacy and data security. Elizabeth previously was a Senior Associate in the Financial Institutions Group of Hogan Lovells US LLP (formerly Hogan & Hartson), where she was also a member of the firm's Privacy Working Group. Prior to joining Hogan, she was a Senior Attorney at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. She is the co-author and co-editor of the Financial Institutions Answer Book 2012, a treatise on banking regulation published by the Practising Law Institute (PLI). She is also the author of numerous articles on bank regulatory topics and contributes a monthly bankruptcy-themed crossword puzzle to the American Bankruptcy Institute's ABI Journal. She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Federal Communications Bar Association. She received a B.S. cum laude from Georgetown University in 1999 and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2002.
