Edward Hof

Senior Policy Analyst Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP), FDIC

Edward Hof is a Senior Policy Analyst in FDIC’s Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection and a subject matter expert in deposit insurance policy. Mr. Hof has supported several deposit insurance related rulemakings, including regulations on deposit insurance record-keeping at the largest banks, simplification of deposit insurance rules for trust accounts, as well as a regulation on false advertising, misrepresentation, and misuse of FDIC name or logo. He also co-hosts the FDIC’s nationwide webinar for bankers on deposit insurance. Prior to joining the FDIC, Mr. Hof worked for a community bank in the Washington DC area and a non-profit specializing in letters of credit. He earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from George Mason University and a Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Washington DC.
