Elizabeth Ortiz is the Deputy Director for Consumer and Community Affairs in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection at the FDIC. Previously, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF), the nation’s largest non-profit intermediary providing financial and advisory services to small-and mid-sized nonprofit organizations around the country. She is also the former Chair of the Board of the CDFI Coalition. Prior to NFF, Liz worked for the New York City Department of Education in implementing a major re-organization of the NYC Public School System. In addition, Liz worked at Citigroup/Citibank for 13 years, serving as Vice President in the Global Consumer Group and Director of Community Reinvestment (CRA), Fair Lending Reporting & Analysis.
Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
