Comment on Financial Reform Implementation

August 17, 2010

It seems that the signing of this bill into law is just another smoke and mirror trick designed to give honest, had working appraiser false hope.

AMC have taken over this business, holding appraiser hostage. They decide who will get the work and how much they will pay. They still instruct the appraiser to send the report and invoice separately…… many state not to send an invoice…..

HVCC has put many appraisers in the hands of a corrupt system...

The banks caused this problem that we are in and now they are put in charge of the system that is going to correct it...

WHAT IS WRONG HERE...

At one time an appraiser was a small business man that could go out into the market and make his own way... THOSE DAYS SEEM TO BE GONE...

The Dodd-Frank Reform Act is supposed to correct all of this...

2 Questions????

Will an appraiser be give the ability to select his own clients ?????

Will we be given the ability to negotiate our fee and a case by case basis...

I have a feeling I know the answers to my questions...

NO and NO

I have a feeling that after all is done and the smoke clears…that appraisers are going to be in the same boat that they are currently in… The only difference is that instead of calling it HVCC they are going to call it the Dodd-Frank Act...

THIS NEW LAW SHOULD GIVE APPRAISERS THEIR FREEDOM BACK...
