San Francisco Region Bankers' Forum
Detecting Compliance Risk in Products, Services, and Operations

Thursday, November 17, 2016
1:00 - 2:30 PM Pacific

One of the most difficult aspects of managing a compliance program is identifying where risks are present. This becomes even more challenging when changes occur in the products or services offered, systems are upgraded or converted, or the institution goes through an acquisition.

FDIC examination staff will share their expertise and discuss areas that institutions should consider so that they can identify potential issues before they cause consumer harm. Staff will also share best practices and potential pitfalls for institutions going through a merger or acquisition, to ensure continued compliance with consumer protection regulations and the Community Reinvestment Act.

The 45-minute presentation will be followed by a 45-minute question and answer session. To ensure participant questions are addressed, participants will have the opportunity to email their questions in advance to SFConsumerProtection@fdic.gov.  Questions may also be submitted during the live broadcast.

Who Should Attend
San Francisco Region Supervised Banks: We encourage bank presidents, chief executive officers, chief risk officers, chief operating officers, general counsels, compliance officers, Community Reinvestment Act officers, and internal auditors to attend.
