San Francisco Region Bankers' Forum:
Teleconference on Risk Management – Embedding Lessons Learned
Wednesday, March 25, 2015
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM Pacific
On March 25, 2015, the FDIC’s San Francisco Regional Office will host a teleconference on Risk Management - Embedding Lessons Learned.
As the banking industry continues to improve, we are mindful of our need to embed the lessons learned from the recent crisis. Community banks that engaged in traditional, relationship based lending funded by stable core deposits generally performed well, while institutions that were highly concentrated and funded aggressive growth with volatile sources had a greater likelihood of failure. FDIC examination staff will discuss our tailored supervisory practices post crisis as we seek to employ a more proactive supervisory approach.
The 45-minute presentation will be followed by a 30-minute question and answer session. To ensure participant questions are addressed, participants will have the opportunity to email their questions in advance to FDICSanFrancisco@FDIC.gov. Questions may also be submitted during the live broadcast.
Who Should AttendSan Francisco Region Supervised Banks: We encourage directors, chief executive officers, presidents, chief risk officers, chief credit officers, chief operating officers, chief financial officers, and internal auditors to attend.
Registration is closed for this event.
