The Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection’s New York Regional Office will host a Regulatory Conference Call on Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
Purpose and Objective
Enhance awareness of risks associated with RESPA Section 8(a), including its purpose and recent issues identified through consumer compliance examinations.
In furtherance of this objective, the call will address the following topics:
- RESPA Section 8(a) purpose and coverage
- Recent case law and enforcement
- Marketing service agreements and desk rentals
- Supervisory guidance and supervisory responses
- Compliance management system elements
- Examination perspective
