FDIC New York Region Regulatory Teleconference

Liquidity Risk and Funds Management

Thursday, June 15, 2017
2:00 p.m. EDT

On June 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. EDT, the FDIC's New York Region will host a Regional Regulatory Teleconference. Our topic for the teleconference will be "Liquidity Risk and Funds Management."

This teleconference will discuss regulatory expectations surrounding liquidity risk management for community banks. An emphasis will be placed on liquidity measurement systems and how these systems form the foundation for stress testing approaches and contingency funding plans. The session will also touch on the development of liquid asset cushions and the potential impact of rising market interest rates on a bank’s liquidity position. In addition to regulatory expectations, we will also discuss some potentially volatile funding sources that can present challenges for institutions particularly in a stress scenario.

Our speakers, Senior Capital Markets and Securities Specialists Greg Quint and Michael Kostrna and Senior Examiner Mike Aldrich will discuss regulatory guidance for managing liquidity risk.

The teleconference is primarily geared towards FDIC-supervised institutions in the New York Region. Bank directors, officers, and staff members are welcome to participate.

Registration is closed at this time. A confirmation email containing a toll-free number and passcode for registered participants to gain entry to the call as well as a link to access the presentation will be sent by close of business on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
