The Consumer Research Symposium, hosted by the FDIC’s Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, facilitates a discussion of the newest research in consumer finance among academics, financial regulators, and the private sector.

The 12th Symposium was held on March 15, 2024 at the FDIC L. William Seidman Center in Arlington, Virginia. This year’s event featured a Distinguished Guest Lecture by Professor Annamaria Lusardi of Stanford University: “The Importance of Financial Literacy.” The 2024 Program includes links to selected materials including paper drafts and presentation slides. A video recording of the event will be available soon.

Please direct any questions or requests for additional information to the organizers (Garret Christensen, Ryan Goodstein, and Connor Redpath) at ConResearchSymp@FDIC.gov.
