Southeast Louisiana Alliance for Economic Inclusion

The Southeast Louisiana AEI has a mission to improve the economics of low- and moderate-income persons and communities, including the unbanked and under-banked, by improving access to the mainstream banking system. The AEI has access to approximately 150 members and partners. The AEI covers East Baton Rouge Parish (Baton Rouge); Orleans Parish (New Orleans); Tangipahoa Parish (Hammond); St. Tammany Parish (Covington); New Iberia Parish (Iberia); and Lafayette Parish (Lafayette).

The Southeast Louisiana AEI is composed of small businesses, financial institutions, community organizations, coalitions, federal, state and local government agencies.  There are subcommittees on Asset Building/Financial Education-Unbanked and Underbanked-Development Committee and Credit Issues; Affordable Housing (Urban & Rural)-Foreclosure Prevention; and Small Business.
