FOIA Dispute Resolution Services
A requester seeking to engage in dispute resolution regarding a FOIA request may make a request to the FDIC FOIA Public Liaison and/or the Office of Government Information Services (OGIS) by the following methods:
Requests to the FDIC FOIA Public Liaison
Requests to the FDIC FOIA Public Liaison must be submitted in writing and can be made by:
- Completing the online request form located on the Office of the Ombudsman Web page
- Sending an e-mail to Ombudsman@fdic.gov clearly marked "FOIA Request";
- Sending a Fax clearly marked "FOIA Request" to the Office of the Ombudsman at 703-562-6058; or
- Sending a letter to: Office of the Ombudsman, ATTN: FOIA Request, 3501 N. Fairfax Drive, Room E-2022, Arlington, VA 22226.
Requests to the Office of Government Information Services (OGIS)
Requests to OGIS should be sent to OGIS directly at Office of Government Information Services, National Archives and Records Administration, Room 2510, 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, MD 20740–6001, E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org, Phone: (301) 837-1996, Fax: (301) 837–0348, Toll-free: (877) 684–6448.
By providing this information, the FDIC does not commit to refer disputes to OGIS, or to defer to OGIS's mediation decisions in particular cases.
