Michelle Wu is a Senior Financial Economist in the Center for Financial Research at the FDIC. Her research interests include international finance, asset pricing, macro-finance and mutual funds. Before joining the FDIC, she was a Financial Economist at the SEC in the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis, where she worked on high-profile rules for investment company (investment advisors and funds) market regulation. She received her PhD in Business Administration (Finance) with a minor in Macroeconomics from the University of Rochester, Simon Business School in 2018.
