What is a Validation Code?

To help reduce credit card fraud, particularly for mail and online transactions, FDIC now requires all credit card transactions to include a validation code. This code is found on the BACK of your credit card, along the strip where you usually sign your signature. There you will find your credit card number printed, along with three additional digits.  These three digits are your validation code.
