Releasing banks on their own recognizance to enforce their own race-neutral policies is like allowing the fox to guard the henhouse. It is absolutely the wrong direction to head in, and I can’t believe it truly represents sentiment in the US. Until there is a super-majority of people who believe racism is a non-issue, we are unfortunately going to have to enforce rules that keep people from discriminating. The redlining of the past has disenfranchised and alienated 3 generations of minorities in this country. OUR SOCIAL FABRIC CANNOT AFFORD THESE NEW RULES.
