We are concerned that changing the definition of small banks is unfair to the few reaming small banks operating on a community basis. As a regional non-profit concerned with community health and development conditions, we need strong locally focused institutions to remain vital and strong. We have found that large institutions are quite unsympathetic to local concerns. Moreover, large institutions often have predatory arms that destroy community value, wipe out neighborhoods, and deeply hurt families.n.
