Subject: Community Reinvestment 12 CFR Part 345

Please accept this letter in opposition of the proposed changes in the Community Reinvestment policy, 12 CFR Part 345. The current expectations existing for FDIC instituitions are already minimal. It would be unacceptable to further weaken these requriements by reducing the number of lending institutions that are accountable to them.

Please instead consider ways to require even more investment in low-income areas, particularly in ecomomic development initiatives and affordable housing. Our commuities need active investments in all income ranges to insure a healthly and thriving atmosphere.

Please do not weaken the expectations already in place.
