I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250
million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. This policy is incredibly damaging to the gains that have been made
by porr and underserved communities. It would reduce lending,
investments and services in low-income communities and eliminate the
incentives for banks to treat non-traditional customers fairly.
