Dear Federal Deposit Insurance Commission:
Child care programs, Head Start programs and other small non-profit
and for-profit businesses in rural communities rely on the availability
of funds through the Community Reinvestment Act.. Please do not limit
the requirements for financial institutions to make these funds
available in Oregon's rural communities.
I agree with the National Congress for Community Economic Development
that this proposed change would have a devastating effect on affordable
housing and community development investment throughout the nation,
particularly
in rural areas.
