Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50
Dear Sir/Madam:
I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250
million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services
in low-income communities, and especially rural and small communities
in which community-based groups struggle to meet the affordable
housing and community development needs. Please reconsider this
proposal and protect the interest of the not-for-profit groups
that are trying to improve poor community conditions.
Thank you,
Kori Kanayama, Principal
