Subject: SPAM::Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50
"I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above
$250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in
low-income communities." My organization has done over $40 million
dollars in real estate related activity in one of Chicago's most
devastated communities. Without meaningful CRA legislation, this
would not have happened. While much has been accomplished, much more
needs to be done, particularly in the small business and economic
development arenas. CRA is our last hope for leveling the playing
field.
