I oppose the FDIC's proposal to raise the asset ceiling for small
banks. I believe that this will increase the risks of discriminatory
lending. I work with several programs assisting low-income people and I
have grave concerns about the loss of examination for the current large
banks which would become “small” banks under the proposed standards.
