If the regulation would be able to ensure that the purpose of sharing information would require banks to refrain or be restricted from over-solicitation of credit, then I would be all for it.

I currently have 2 or more cards opened for the purpose of purchasing goods from miscellaneous stores only to find out that these accounts are all serviced by the same bank, e.g.,CitiBank or MBNA. However, I continue to get numerous offers for new credit cards from these same banks. Don't they check to see if I already have credit? Maybe that doesn't matter. No wonder so many people are in debt!!!!
