In my years working in the field of community development no one
piece of legislation has done so much to insure neighborhood
revitalization in distressed communities at no cost to the federal
government and to tax payers Keeping this legislation in tact without
watering down it compliance is critical to both urban and rural
communities through out the USA I urge that there be no changes in the
legislation that will make lending institutions less accountable to the
sprit and the commitment of what historically has been CRA
