Dear Mr. Feldman:
I strongly oppose the proposed rule changing the Community Reinvestment
Act regulations. I work for community and economic development in
Owsley County, Kentucky, the poorest county in Kentucky, the poorest
county in all of the thirteen Appalachian, and the seventh poorest
county in America. The CRA has allowed our local bank to invest money
in our community through various projects and programs that are important
to the community development work we are involved in.
If these changes take place, we will suffer tremendously due to
the lack of funding provided through the CRA. Please reconsider changing
the CRA regulations. Rural communities across America are at stake.
