Comment : If I notify an institution that I do not wish my information
to be shared with any other entity, that directive should be effective
until further notice. At present, each time I receive a statement from
an entity, there may be a form asking if I wish confidentiality or not.
It is time-consuming to complete such forms every time they arrive. But
the implication is that if I don't, my privacy will no longer be protected.
Therefore, any notice I send should be effective until I specify otherwise.
And if that institution sends subsequent mailings, they should clearly
state that if I have previously replied, I do not need to reply again
unless I am changing the prior directive.
