Gentlemen Re RIN 3064-AC50:
On behalf of our community board of directors and staff, I heartily
oppose the proposed rule changing the Community Reinvestment Act
regulations. The proposed changes will really undermine rural communities,
which are the most disadvantaged in the nation, and which have the
fewest housing resources invested compared with urban areas. Leaders
of these communities often tell us that affordable housing by community
development organizations like ours offer the nicest, most affordable
housing available, and helps smaller rural communities set the tone
for further economic development. Please do not adopt this rule.
