Subject: Community Reinvestment Act Proposed Changes
I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250
million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. The result of such a change would surely further reduce services,
lending and investments in low income communities. West Virginia
is particularly vulnerable because of low population density and
the preponderance of low income communities across the state.
