Subject: FIL 74-2004; required to obtained Assessment invoice thru FDICconnect

I think our small bank is far more technologically advanced than most our size. And I personally “love” technology and the Internet. But I feel it sends the wrong message for FDIC to “force” this change. There are other technological changes that can save FDIC time and money (many I am sure it already is using) that will accomplish the same thing and still not force banks to be responsible for getting their invoice. I believe that it is FDIC’s obligation to get the invoice to my bank, not my bank’s obligation to retrieve it. If I as a homeowner contracted with a building contractor to renovate my home, I believe that it is the contractor’s obligation to get me an invoice to pay from. Same thing here.

Thanks.
