Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50
Dear FDIC:
I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250
million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in
low-income communities.
You know, if you all really cared about consumers and community, you
would also outlaw those outrages charges to use ATMs. The U.S. is one of
the few nations worldwide to allow such shameless padding of bankers'
pockets. How is it fair that consumers have to pay a couple of bucks to
have access to their own money?? It is nothing but highway robbery!
Please turn your attention to issues such as these rather than
supporting the corporate welfare already in place. Those with the
capital, the owners of the ATMs, do not need any more help, thank you.
