Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50
The Cabell-Huntington Coalition for the Homeless is opposed to the
FDIC proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be
examined as small banks. Relaxation of CRA requirements will hurt
our efforts to develop housing for homeless people. We have received
several benefits from banks in our area related to CRA - the gift
of a dilapidated building we renovated in to twelve apartments, contributions
of funds to other projects, the relationship through Federal Home
Loan Banks with local banks. We also benefit from the participation
of CRA officers in various Boards and commissions.
Thank you for your attention.
