Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50
As a Community Development practicioner, I oppose the FDIC's proposal
to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small
banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. I believe that it would
lessen these banks' incentive to follow the practices that the CRA works
to produce. The CRA is a tool that does make a difference in our
communities and this change in policy would likely reduce lending,
investments and services in low-income communities that cannot afford to
lose their access to credit and investments.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Gingerich
