Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50
Dear People:
Here in California, the richest state of the union we have the
second lowest home ownership rates in the nation. The gap between
wealth and poverty grows to the disadvantage of all citizens.
Access to programs and resources through the efforts of the CRA
are one of the few bright spots that assist low income households
to get ahead.
I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250
million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services
to low income households. We need all the resources we can gather
to help with the housing crisis in California.
Please do not make this change.
