SUBJECT: The Malibu Trust Company May Be Conducting Banking Operations in California Without Authorization
Summary: The Malibu Trust Company is engaged in banking services in the state of California without a license from the Commissioner of Financial Institutions. The entity does NOT display any reference to FDIC membership.

The Department of Financial Institutions of the state of California has issued a cease and desist letter to the Malibu Trust Company, Santa Rosa, California. The Malibu Trust Company has not been authorized to engage in the banking business in the State of California. The letter warns the entity to cease and desist from conducting business in California. A consumer notice from the Department of Financial Institutions concerning this entity may be viewed at http://www.dfi.ca.gov/notices/consumer/2004/121304.asp.

Any proposed transactions involving this entity should be viewed with caution. This entity is not insured by the FDIC.
