FDIC MAKES PUBLIC MARCH 1999 ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS;
NO ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS SCHEDULED FOR MAY

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) today released a list of orders of administrative enforcement actions taken against banks and individuals in March. No administrative hearings are scheduled for May.

The FDIC processed a total of 16 final orders in March. These included one written agreement, three cease-and-desist orders, three removal and prohibition orders, two civil money penalties, one prompt corrective action, one voluntary termination of insurance, one order of appointment of receiver, two terminations of cease-and-desist orders, one adjudicated decision and one call report penalty.
