Instructions on How to Participate in the Banker Seminar

Institutions can participate in the seminar in two ways: through the Internet or by conference call.

Accessing the Seminar via the Internet
Bankers can view and listen to the seminar presentation, on the day of the event, directly from your computer through the FDIC’s Web site at Nationwide Seminars - Deposit Insurance Resources for Bankers. Please access the site a few minutes prior to the event start time.

Participating in the seminar via the Internet at your computer does not require registration.

Accessing the Seminar via Conference Call
Bankers can listen to the seminar presentation with a copy of the Power Point slides by conference call.

Participating in the seminar by conference call requires participants to register for this event at least three days before the seminar.

How to Register for the FDIC’s Banker Seminar via Conference Call
Participants can register for the seminar via Internet or by phone.

To register for the conference call via Internet (preferred method):

  • Access http://e-meetings.mci.com via the Internet.
  • Under the heading “Events,” (located in the lower section of the page) click on Web RSVP.

At the WebRSVP Conferencing page, you will need to enter the appropriate conference ID and conference pass code:

  • Enter conference ID 4201681 and the conference pass code BANKERS to participate in the October 11, 2005, seminar call.
  • Enter conference ID 4201643 and the conference pass code BANKERS to participate in the October 25, 2005, seminar call.
  • Enter conference ID 4201698 and the conference pass code BANKERS to participate in the November 15, 2005, seminar call.

Then click the Proceed button.

At the next WebRSVP Conferencing page, you will be asked to provide your first and last names along with your e-mail address. In the Comments Section, indicate the approximate number of staff who will participate and the number of separate telephone lines you will use when you call in. For example, if five individuals are sitting together around a speaker phone, your response should be five staff participants and one telephone line. Then click on the Submit button.

After you successfully submit your RSVP, you will receive a reservation confirmation e-mail from MCI that will include the date and time for the seminar.

Two days before your scheduled seminar, you will receive a reminder e-mail from the FDIC that will include the toll-free number to call on the date of the seminar, along with the conference ID number and conference pass code.

To register for the conference call by telephone:

If you do not have an e-mail address or Internet access, you may contact the FDIC’s Call Center, toll free, at 1-877-275-3342. When you are connected to the FDIC Call Center:

  • Press 2,
  • Press 1 for English,
  • Then press 1 as a banker,
  • Then press 0 to speak to an FDIC representative.

When you reach the FDIC representative, state that you are calling about the FDIC seminar “Deposit Insurance Resources for Bankers” and would like to participate in the call. Please inform the FDIC representative of the date of the seminar call in which you wish to participate. You will be:

  • Provided the toll-free number to call on the date of the seminar, along with the conference ID number and pass code, and
  • Asked to indicate the approximate number of your staff who will be participating and the number of separate telephone lines you will be using when you call in.

How to Obtain Copies of the Power Point Presentation From the FDIC

Via Internet Download (preferred method)

Bankers will be able to print or download the seminar presentation from the FDIC Web site by going to Nationwide Seminars - Deposit Insurance Resources for Bankers.

Via Telephone Request

If you do not have Internet access, the FDIC will provide your institution with limited copies (up to three) of the Power Point seminar presentation at no charge. Please call the FDIC’s Call Center, toll free, at 1-877-275-3342.

  • Press 2,
  • Press 1 for English,
  • Then press 1 as a banker,
  • Then press 0 to speak to an FDIC representative.

When you reach an FDIC representative, state that you are calling about participating in the seminar “Deposit Insurance Resources for Bankers” and request the presentation materials. Please allow two weeks for delivery. The last date to place an order for each scheduled seminar is 14 calendar days before the seminar.

FDIC-insured financial institutions may reproduce the FDIC’s presentation and transcript without permission from the FDIC, provided these materials are reproduced in their entirety, without modification.
