The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is pleased to announce its new edition of "Your Insured Deposits." The booklet was revised to reflect the April 1, 1999, amendments to the deposit insurance regulations on joint accounts and "payable-on-death" (POD or trust) accounts. The "Your Insured Deposits" booklets are free to insured financial institutions for distribution to their customers. The booklet clearly explains customers' deposit insurance coverage in a question-and-answer format. The latest edition of "Your Insured Deposits" is marked "1999" on the last page. Previous editions do not reflect recent regulation changes and should be destroyed. Due to the substantial demand anticipated for this booklet, the FDIC is providing all FDIC-insured institutions with the attached camera-ready booklet so they may produce their own supplies. The booklet may be reprinted in its entirety (with no modifications) without permission from the FDIC. Copies Available Directly From the FDIC:
