Federal Reserve Board Amends Regulation C and Loan Application Register
|
The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (FRB) has adopted amendments revising Regulation C, which implements the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act. The revisions modify the Loan Application Register to prepare for Year 2000 data systems conversion and to delete the requirement to enter the reporting institution's parent company on the Transmittal Sheet. The revisions also make certain technical changes to the regulations and reporting forms. The attached Federal Register notice contains the final rule, which went into effect September 24, 1998.
For further information, contact FRB staff members Pamela Morris Blumenthal, Staff Attorney, or John Wood, Senior Attorney, Division of Consumer and Community Affairs, at (202) 452-2412 or (202) 452-3667.
A staff member at the FDIC who is familiar with the revisions is Michael R. Evans, Fair Lending Specialist, Division of Compliance and Consumer Affairs, (202) 942-3091, e-mail Mevans@fdic.gov.
