Two New Deposit Insurance Publications Available in Korean and Chinese
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has announced that its two new deposit insurance brochures for bank customers - Insuring Your Deposits and Your Insured Deposits: FDIC's Guide to Deposit Insurance Coverage - are now available in Korean and Chinese (traditional and simplified).
Insuring Your Deposits is the FDIC's basic deposit insurance guide for bank customers, covering the four most common account ownership categories (single, joint, payable on death and retirement). Insuring Your Deposits is now available the following five languages:
- Korean (FDIC-007-2005),
- Chinese Simplified (FDIC-009-2005)
- Chinese Traditional (FDIC-011-2005)
- Spanish (FDIC-016-2004)
- English (FDIC-002-2004)
Your Insured Deposits: FDIC's Guide to Deposit Insurance Coverage, an update of the FDIC's 1999 publication of the same name, is a comprehensive overview of the rules for deposit insurance coverage and is intended for depositors who need detailed information on the deposit insurance rules. Your Insured Deposits is now available in the following five languages:
- Korean (FDIC-006-2005),
- Chinese Simplified (FDIC-008-2005)
- Chinese Traditional (FDIC-010-2005)
- Spanish (FDIC-015-2004)
- English (FDIC-001-2004)

Please note: Earlier versions of the FDIC publication Your Insured Deposits in Korean and Chinese are outdated and should be destroyed.
Reproduction and Printing of Brochures by Insured Institutions
Financial institutions may reprint these publications without permission from the FDIC provided each brochure is reproduced in its entirety. Source files for the commercial printing of the new brochures may be downloaded from the FDIC's Web site at: http://www.fdic.gov/regulations/resources/brochures/index.html. The format used is QuarkXPress Version 4.0 for Macintosh.
Obtaining Copies From the FDIC
The FDIC will provide insured banks and savings associations with copies of both
deposit insurance brochures at no charge. To place an order for either publication, complete and submit the order form located on the FDIC's Web site at: http://www2.fdic.gov/depositinsuranceregister/index.asp. Please allow four to six weeks for delivery.
Using the order form on the FDIC's Web site will ensure the fastest delivery of your brochure order. If your institution does not have access to the Internet, orders may be faxed or mailed to the FDIC:

Orders submitted by FAX or mail should be written on your institution's letterhead and include a contact name, a telephone number where the contact may be reached, the title of the publication requested, and the number of copies requested.
