Each depositor insured to at least $250,000 per insured bank

State Bank & Trust of Seguin, Texas, Seguin, Texas, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.

The counterfeit items do not display the correct routing number for State Bank & Trust of Seguin, Texas, but instead list 112004916. In addition, the counterfeit items are markedly dissimilar to authentic checks. Authentic cashier's checks prominently display the bank logo, along with the institution's telephone number and address. Authentic instruments also display "Cashier's Check" at the top of the check along with "Member FDIC." Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic cashier's check (VOID) are attached for your review.
