SUBJECT: Unauthorized Entity Conducting Banking Activities
Summary: Atlantic Standard Chartered Bank & Trust, N.A. is offering a full range of deposit and banking services via the Internet.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has advised the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) that the following entity may be conducting banking business illegally or without authorization: Atlantic Standard Chartered Bank & Trust, N.A., whose Web site is (no longer available). However, the entity is not chartered by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Furthermore, the FDIC does not insure this entity or any products or services it may offer.

Any information about this entity may be forwarded to the FDIC's Special Activities Section, 550 17th Street, N.W., Room F-4040, Washington, D.C. 20429, or forwarded electronically to alert@fdic.gov.
