SUBJECT: Entity That May Be Conducting Banking Operations Without Authorization
Summary: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has provided notification of an unauthorized financial institution.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has advised the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) that the following entity may be conducting banking business illegally or without authorization:

      Investment Bank of Austria
      Levasseurgasse 5
      1230 Wien/Vienna, Austria
      www.inv-banking.com (This site is no longer active.)
Finanzmarktaufsicht-Financial Market Authority of Austria advised the OCC that Investment Bank of Austria (IBA) is not authorized to conduct banking business in Austria and the entity is not located at the listed address or any other known location in Austria. The contact information listed on IBA's Web site contained a street address in St. Paul, Minnesota, and listed nonworking telephone and facsimile numbers. Please be advised that neither the OCC nor the state of Minnesota has authorized IBA to operate as a bank or federal branch in the United States. Proposed transactions involving this entity should be viewed with extreme caution. Any information or questions that you have about this entity may be brought to the attention of:
