SUBJECT: Entities That May Be Conducting Banking Operations Without Authorization
Summary: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has provided notification of unauthorized financial institutions.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has advised the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) that the entities described below may be conducting banking business illegally or without authorization. The entities have not been granted authority to operate as banking businesses in the United States by the OCC or the state of New York. Proposed transactions with these entities should be viewed with extreme caution.

  • Intertrade Bank
    [This site is no longer active]
    Montenegro, Yugoslavia; London, England; and New York, New York

    The Web site is no longer functioning. In addition, the entity has not been granted authority to operate in Montenegro or the United Kingdom.

  • Commerz Finanz Bank
    [This site is no longer active]
    Zurich, Switzerland; and New York, New York

    The Web site is no longer functioning. In addition, officials from Commerzbank AG have advised that there is no affiliation between this entity and Commerzbank AG or Commerzbank North America or any of its affiliated companies. Contrary to representations contained on the Web site, there is also no affiliation between Commerzbank AG and IBC Holdings Corporation, a Nevada corporation with an address listed as 40 Wall Street, New York, New York. Further, the Swiss Federal Banking Commission has not authorized the entity to conduct business in the area of banking or securities trading.
