FDIC Teleconference on Implementing the 2010 Overdraft Payment Program Supervisory Guidance

Staff from the FDIC’s Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP) will host a teleconference on March 29, 2011, to discuss the Overdraft Payment Program Supervisory Guidance issued in November 2010 (FIL-81-2010).

The purpose of the call is to assist FDIC-supervised institutions as they implement efforts to mitigate risk in response to the expectations and recommendations identified in the guidance.  In addition to providing an overview of the guidance, staff will address examination and implementation issues based on discussions with, and questions received from, FDIC-supervised institutions.


Institutions may submit questions in advance of the call to ODCallQuestions@fdic.gov.

Advance registration is required. To register for the teleconference, please follow the registration instructions below. Please complete your registration by March 25, 2011.

Registration Instructions:

  1. Go to https://www.mymeetings.com/emeet/rsvp/index.jsp?customHeader=mymeetings&Conference_ID=1413474&passcode=8010927
  2. Enter your first name, last name, and email address.
  3. Click on the “Proceed” button.

At the conclusion of this process, the participant should receive an RSVP e-mail confirmation, along with the passcode and PIN that is required to join the teleconference on March 29.

The e-mail confirmation will also include the necessary information for accessing the Microsoft Office Live Meeting portion of the presentation. If an e-mail confirmation is not received, the participant should recheck the e-mail address provided and repeat the registration process.

Please note that multiple bank employees may join the registered participant on the same line.

Presentation Materials:

Institutions that download the Microsoft Office Live Meeting software will be able to view synchronized presentation materials live at the time of the call by accessing the link provided in the registration confirmation e-mail.
