Donna Gambrell, Deputy Director of the FDIC's Division of Supervision and Consumer Affairs, talked about Money Smart's success since its introduction as a classroom-based curriculum in 2001. To date, more than 300,000 people have taken Money Smart classes and nearly 40,000 new bank accounts have been opened as a result.
